China Unicom Upgrades to 2.75G EDGE in Southeastern Coastal China

According to the Chinese Sohu News, China Unicom has upgraded its GSM networks to the 2.75G EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution) system in some regions of China. These regions are mostly located along the southeastern coast of the country, including Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Zhaoqing, Shenzhen, Huizhou, Dongguan, Jiangmen, and Shunde of Guangdong Province. Other regions already upgraded to the EDGE network by China Unicom include parts of Shanghai inside the Inner Ring, as well as Jinan and Qingdao situated in the Bohai region.
